Some of my friends and I were going to throw Ofa a baby shower, but she didn't want a big fuss made over her 7th child. So, instead of a shower, the four of us (we missed you Yvette!), took her out to lunch and had a great time.
Next Scoop:
Deuce had his very first scout over-night camp out. According to Deuce, "it was awesome!" He and his troop learned how to make a swing out of logs and rope and even swung in it. Now he wants to build us one and replace the one we have in our backyard. I told him I'd think about it and this was a few weeks ago and... I'm still thinking about it.

3rd Scoop:
Mom celebrated her 60th birthday last month. A surprise birthday party was thrown and the best part of the whole party was that Shelley, her baby Laura, Crystal and her baby Tysen, and Doug and Lizzy flew in for the event. Beth made a beautiful, yummilicious cake and her hubby Jacob and their children were ready to roll, and Heather made the invitations (she's a talented graphics designer). They were all a tremendous help in EVERYTHING!!! The party would not have been a success without them. They decorated the hall and it was fabulous!!! They're one of the greatest blessings in our lives. One of the highlights of Mom's party was that she got to meet her grandson, Tysen, for the first time. It was so special. We would have loved to have all her siblings and their families there, but with so much happening that weekend, only a few made it. Quinn serenaded us with his bagpipes. He's so talented on the pipes. I'll have to upload a video of him playing when I get a chance. Overall, the party was fabulous and it was wonderful to shower Mom with the attention she so much deserves. I love her so much.
Anyway, the Sunday after the party, as we were saying our farewells, Hinckley locked the car doors to Shelley and Crystal's rental car as a favor. The only problem was, Laura and Tysen were in the vehicle, windows rolled up and the keys in the ignition. Luckily for us, Shelley had turned on the a/c prior to the lock down. A police vehicle was dispatched and he was able to unlock the car in no time. I almost forgot to mention, the night before the party, as we were setting up the hall, Shelley ended up in the ER to get stitches on her foot. She cut it on the metal divider as she attempted to close it. The cut was bad. All I can say is, she's one tough cookie and she's very brave... if it was me, I would've screamed in agony and who knows what words and in what language, would have come out of my mouth. I think Doug persuaded Shelley to finally go to the ER, conveniently located across the street, so Lizzy took her and they waited and waited and waited and... well, you get the point. It was an eventful weekend for everyone!
