is needed! Vivint, formerly APX Alarm, is giving away monies to local charities with the highest amount of votes. This won't cost you a dime, but it will require a minute or two of your time. As most of you know, my son, Dallin, has been suffering from a chronic illness called Eosinophilic Esophagitis, or EE (EoE) disease, which for him is mainly triggered by aero-allergens that sometimes daily medications cannot help and he must endure the pain and discomforts of the disease. We were told he would "grow into it", those are not very comforting words. However, we are very blessed that his disease still allows him the freedom to eat like other normal children, with the exception of dairy. But, many of the children in his support group have other forms of EGIDs (Eosinophilic GastroIntestinal Disorders) caused by food and are on feeding tubes and/or are on restrictive diets. Imagine a life without food that you and I enjoy everyday. Seeing these children and thousands of others suffer from this disease breaks my heart. We can all do our part and help Dallin and these brave children (and adults) suffering from EGIDs by casting your vote for the CURED Foundation. This organization will donate 100% of all funds to research in finding better treatment options and most importantly, for a CURE. We urge you to please participate and assist us in this great and worthy cause by voting HERE. If you're able to, please vote every day until August 27th. Our Family Rules:
- #1 Rule: It is your duty to HONOR GOD, live your religion and be faithful!
- Always be kind and respectful to each other.
- Be encouraging and proud of each other.
- Be forgiving. The right answer after a disagreement or spat is always "I'm sorry."
- Be honest in all that you do.
- Do an act of service for each other everyday.
- Do not put CLEAN clothes in the laundry room. It is not the solution to keeping your room, especially your floor, clear of clothes. You have a dresser and closet for that. The laundry room is neither.
- Do your chores WITH a smile. :)
- Don't show snakes, lizards, worms or anything gross such as puke on your hands or clothes, to Mum!!!
- Don't yell or scream INSIDE the house, unless of course, the house is on fire or you or someone else has a MAJOR owee or booboo.
- Give "umas" and "huggies" daily. Mum loves to get her daily dose.
- If you don't have anything nice to say, FIND ONE! (Mum's favorite).
- If you see a pile of clean laundry in Mum and Dad's room, that's an invitation for you to come in and fold it (and put them away).
- If you see a sagging diaper, or smell it first, you get to do the honors (and change it).
- Put it away...not down! If you made the mess, clean it up.
- Saying "Yes, Mom" "Yes, Dad" "I'm coming!" "Can I help you with anything else?" "I'll take care of it right away!" are the correct responses.
- The walls are not an open canvas for your art work, nor is it an invitation to display your dirty handprints. Please use paper and place your artwork on the fridge and wash your hands.
- Your shirt is not a tissue for your nose and your sleeve or hand is not a napkin.
- LOVE EACH OTHER! Say "I love you" everyday.
