The bite became progressively worse over the period of 2 days.
On the second day, Hinckley woke up barely able to open his eye, 
so I took him into the doctor's office where he was prescribed three different medications and wow... what a difference it made. 
By the end of the second day, the swelling had gone down tremendously!

Nathan spent almost a week's holiday with us. We've enjoyed fishing, swimming, getting ice cream at the barn and hanging out with him. We miss him dearly. Believe it or not, he's only 8 years old and look how tall he is...

Deuce went on his second scout camp out. While there, he went on a 5-mile hike for 1st class requirement, did a nature hunt, cooked breakfast with his friend for their troop, carved a knife and spear, received his totin' chip and firen' chip badges. He's the patrol leader for his troop and loves every minute of scouting. He's got great scout leaders who puts a lot of their time in teaching my son and others. We're very proud of you, Deuce! We love you!!!

Oh my word...poor Hinckley! You have already had quite a summer. I want you to email me those pics from mom birthday that are on the slideshow from June 16. Let me know if it's possible.
Yikes!!!! My baby! I'm so relieved to know that he is better!
I got a bite like that once. The same bug bit me on the back too. I looked like quasimoto with one eye swollen and a goose egg on my shoulder. Glad Hinckley is getting better though.

Hello Again!
I do have the pattern for that purse and no it was really hard to sew. The directions are so confusing!! I totally don't recommend it but you could totally find a easy pattern at JoAnn's and add a cell phone pocket. It's really easy.. Just slap a pocket with a top on the side of the lining!
